What do you use for deterrents? I’ve heard mothballs, Tomcat pellets, and sonic thingees.

I see what you mean, a bird maybe holding a string for its nest in its beak! I don’t mind the end pattern at all. Generally the aesthetics of a horn aren’t important as long as it plays well, in the pit.
