Haha, being from Pennsylvania myself, I also find that Floridians using the word "winter" at all is kind of a misnomer? Is there even such thing as "winter" in Florida, unless you count an occasional dusting of snow in the panhandle?

Yes, the humidity/amount of water in the air here makes a huge difference to how cold it FEELS here. 50 degrees feels a LOT colder because the air is both cold and WET, so you do lose more body heat, just as though your clothing were damp in cold weather. It's unpleasant at best.

By the end of the day we were sweating even without the jackets. In a few weeks none of this will matter because it will NEVER be cool enough for the jackets, or if it is it'll only be for the very first set of the day and then it'll be 90F for every set after that. But until then, I still think we should be able to opt for a long-sleeved shirt instead of the jackets, and ALSO that it should be the BAND'S choice, not management's.

Haha, the disclaimer thing is funny...since I'm mentioning multiple employers here I kinda have to "disclaim" anything I say about them specifically! Everyone's so TOUCHY lol :)

It is CRAZY how suddenly I've gotten to work for all of these entertainment giants. A few years ago, even a few months ago, that was not the case. Something changed somewhere and I don't know what it was, but I am extremely grateful. Any little things that I complain about here are LITTLE things, underneath any day-to-day grumbles I am and will always be amazed that things turned out this way. Thank you for the support!
