I don’t blame you. I’ve got a bunch of friends your age who have very similar feelings.
I remember when congress voted to be able to “borrow” money from social security. Everyone said “they’ll rob it blind and it will go broke”. And, yep, that’s what happened.
And, I am grateful that any bigger expenses will be covered. It’s just a long way to that $2000 some days.
