Circus Birthday (Pie-Free!)
Feb. 4th, 2013 02:39 pmMy birthday happened to fall on a train run this year. Awesome!
On a semi-creepy note, today was also the Blue Unit trombonist's birthday!!
What are the odds?!?
I got to relax for most of the day, it was great.
To everyone who posted on my facebook, thank you :) You guys are great.
For dinner I got a steak from the Pie Car (treat to self),
and Uncle John (head chef) gave me my first birthday present...
homemade banana pudding!

This was especially awesome because today is also Banana Day, according to Tom (keys).
He claims that the 4th of every month is Banana Day, actually. Sounds good to me!
Shortly after the train came to a stop,
I was working on my computer when a tapping at the window startled me.
I looked up to see a cake wobbling around!
It was LJ (floor crew) bringing me a cake that Cindy (teacher) and some of her kids had made!
That's right, a full-sized strawberry shortcake covered in REAL whipped cream!!

She made it from scratch. What a wonderful, thoughtful person! I am so spoiled, and blessed!
I shared it with whoever happened to be around at the time (can't eat a whole cake myself!),
then ate my steak for dinner. Yeah, I was a fatty today :P
Then Brett (bandmaster), Jameson (keys), Slick (trumpet),
Jerome (bass), and Melissa (stage crew) and I went bowling!
There were other circus peeps already there and more who showed up later too.
Brett's a great bowler. Most of the guys scored above 100. Melissa got 3 strikes in a row!
I did, uh, mediocre. But it was fun :)
The whole day was great, I really enjoyed it,
thanks to my circus family and all of my family and friends, near and far.
Oh...and the clowns didn't pie me!! VICTORY IS MINE!!!!
