I'm guessing you'll appreciate this, then, but when I gave birth to Izzy I asked the midwife if I could see the placenta (I was SO sad that I was... sort of distracted by the whole giving birth thing the first time and missed the opportunity with Muppet) and she so kindly took time to wheel it over and show me all the parts, how it connected to me, the umbilical cord, how it detached, the hole and how it inverted during labor, etc... I honestly don't remember even a quarter of what she told me but it was THE COOLEST THING ever. Other than the baby I'd just birthed... of course. She was pretty cool, too. Lol.
As much as I dislike my uterus for periods and everything that comes with those, the fact that I grew an organ and yeeted it from my body (oh yeah, with a baby) is kind of a neat trick (that I'm glad to never perform again).
