Totally agree. And we're just lower-middle-class field mice anyway, it's not like family inheritances will be lost or scandals erupt due to illicit children or whatever. So much drama over nothing.
My dad LOVED my little sister, she was definitely the stereotypical Youngest Child and "daddy's girl." He knew that she might not be his (our mom had an affair) and it did not matter one whit to him. And therefore in my naive child-brain I figured, "He loves her so much that this information doesn't matter at all." But I was wrong.
